Learning Management Based on Jambi Malay Local Wisdom in Educational Institutions

The implementation of learning management based on local wisdom can serve as an effective strategy for improving educational quality while simultaneously preserving cultural heritage. This study aims to analyze the implementation of learning management grounded in Jambi Malay local wisdom in primary and secondary schools across Jambi Province. A descriptive qualitative approach was employed, with data collected through in-depth interviews, participatory observations, and documentation. The findings indicate that the integration of local wisdom into the learning process contributes positively to students’ social skills, character development, and cultural identity. The study also identifies several challenges, including limited resources, insufficient teacher training, and inadequate curriculum integration. It is concluded that learning management based on local wisdom requires strong support from educational policies, teacher professional development, and community involvement to achieve optimal effectiveness.
